Bamboo Charcoal Water Filters
Four biodegradable bamboo charcoal water filters in a cotton drawstring bag. Re-useable up to two months.
Why add charcoal filters to your drinking water?
Well, clean water is essential for your body to properly function. Activated charcoal makes a fantastic material for removing toxins, chlorine and all sorts of other nasties from your water. Charcoal filters keep you safe from ingesting unnecessary and often harmful organic compounds, without filtering out the beneficial salts and minerals in your drinking water - all without the use of chemicals or volatile substances.
HOW TO USE
Rinse to remove excess powder - do not use detergent!
Boil the filters for around five to ten minutes in a pan of water to sterilise
Allow to cool and air dry
They are now ready to use!
For a one litre jug of water, add 3 to 4 filters
Place in a jug and fill with tap water. The charcoal filters may float on their first use/ few uses, but will tend to sink after a week or so of use, which is completely normal!
For best results, leave your jug of water in the fridge for a few hours before drinking
Re-sterilise once a week by repeating step 2
Replace with new charcoal filters after around two months.
The old filters are compostable at the end of their life but also can be reused in many useful ways throughout your home - look out for our blog post on this!
